Self-Portrait Painting

Self-Portrait inspired partially by James Christensen's "Old Man With a Lot on His Mind"

18"x24": Acrylics, only mar's black, titanium white, and cadmium yellow medium, on gallery wrapped canvas.

We had to do a self-portrait, which could be inspired by another artist's work, but had to have symbols and meaning. Lot's of different symbols. My eyes are closed, but my third eye is open, obviously about spirituality, and how I don't have to have my eyes open to see psychicly or intuitively. I'm also self-illuminated, sort of like the moon, even though the moon just reflects light. I have the moon in there because of how much she means to me. I think the moon is one of the most beautiful creations, so I like to paint it a lot. The hills are kind of suppose to be Ireland. And I substituted all of the stuff on the old man's mind for one goblin. Just to still show my love for goblins and the like.
